4A and Prop Records present Gayab (ग़ायब) and Szem in an atmospheric evening of experimental and ambient music performance. Augmenting the exhibition Man&Wah: Propagate / Germinate / Bloom, this edition of our ongoing 4A LIVE program series is a blossoming of sonic textures and aural explorations, responding to and growing from the photomedia and installation work of Man&Wah.

We invite you to join us on Friday 11 July from 6pm to 8pm with:

Gayab (ग़ायब)
Gayab is a continual vibration in drone experimentation using a hand me down harmonium, electronic tanpura, varying percussion & paan stained walkways of Harris Park as inspiration.

Szem
Szem is the left-field electronic project of visual and sound artist Laura Hunt. Szem means the eye, Szem is all the ways in which we see; through our body, through our third eye, through our memory, through each over.

Combining hardware and electronic sampling, percussive sculptures, cut-up vocals and poetry, Hunt seeks to decode and conjure the unseen, beckoning us into her ethereal world.
