HOISZN in Sydney
For the first time, Naarm/Melbourne’s favourite Asian-Australian creative platform HOISZN lands in Eora/Sydney for a one-day-only social takeover at the iconic 4A Centre for Contemporary Asian Art.
Ringing in the year of the Fire Horse, the 6 exhibiting artists Casey Chen, Choy Ka Fai, WeiZen Ho, Emma Pham, Jason Phu and Savanhdary Vongpoothorn, explore how fire exists and transmutes in ritual and ceremony.
Meet like-minded Asian-Australian creatives from the HOISZN community in the heritage listed halls of 4A Centre for Contemporary Asian Art. With a performance by artist Weizen Ho at 2pm, this isn't your typical quiet gallery viewing.
What to expect:
-
The HOISZN pop-up: Check out HOISZN’s latest zines, prints, and merch.
-
Performance by WeiZen Ho.
-
4A’s latest exhibition in their brand new building.
-
An inspiring space designed for the Asian-Australian creative community to connect.
Whether you’ve been reading HOISZN since Issue 001 or you’re just discovering our magazine, we're super excited to connect in person with our community in Eora Nation.
